Meet the Founding Partners
Linda McGrew, MA, LCMHC
Linda enjoys working with adults on individual and marital issues. Her special areas of interest include women struggling with life changes and spiritual development. She has graduate degrees in both counseling and theological studies. She is passionate about integrating the Christian Faith with the care of the soul.
Patti McMillan, MEd, LCMHC
Patti joined the group after working in agency, school, church, and university settings. She specializes in therapy for school-age children, adolescents, and women. Her experience leads her to focus on anxiety, depression, and women's issues. Additionally she offers educational and psychological assessment.
David Russ, PhD, Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Russ is a licensed psychologist who began practicing in 1985. He specializes treating anxiety disorders. He helps individuals of all ages (6+) with severe anxiety, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emetophobia, panic, social anxiety, phobias, separation anxiety, and related issues.

Christy Braman, MA, LCMHC
Christy specializes in working with adults who have experienced abuse in childhood (sexual, verbal, physical, or emotional). Her work also includes grief, anxiety, codependency, divorce recovery, women’s issues, and internal conflict. She focuses on understanding how past experiences and relationships influence current difficulties.
Mackenzie Hawisher Brown, LCMHCA
Mackenzie works with premarital couples, couples in crisis, spouses grieving betrayals (affairs, etc.), and individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, spiritual doubt and abuse, and family conflict. She desires to create a compassionate and safe environment for all of her clients, helping them see their own resiliency.
Carly Burrows, MA, LCMHCA
Carly enjoys working with children, teens, and adults. She has experience counseling young girls through sexual trauma and assault. She also works with children who are experiencing loss and grief, as well as assisting parents in providing a supportive home environment. Carly also works with adult women who are living with depression or anxiety, as well as a range of postpartum issues.
Amanda Cherry, MA, LCMHC
Amanda specializes in helping adults who struggle with difficult life transitions, high stress/crisis, conflict, depression, anxiety, and women's issues. Amanda has expertise in treating both substance and process addictions.. Amanda approaches each client with empathy and compassion, welcoming individuals to feel validated and empowered.
Steven Clemons, Jr., LCMHCS, LMFT
Steven enjoys working with adolescents (ages 12 and up) and adults. He creates a safe and warm environment in order to help people through life challenges, such as life-transitions, anxiety, emetophobia, depression, anger, low self-image, spiritual concerns, grief and loss, OCD, ADD/ADHD, and trauma. He also provides clinical supervision for associate-level counselors.
Megan Cummings, MACC, LCHMCA
Megan works with children (3-10) and individuals (16+) who feel overwhelmed in life. Her experience includes working with children and teenagers who face anxiety, trauma, cultural adjustment, spiritual abuse and self-esteem issues. She works with children and teenagers who struggle with fears of throwing up (emetophobia). She uses a mixture of Person-Centered and Gestalt Therapy so clients can examine their experiences and practice new ways to move through the world.
Samantha Dunaway, MACC, LCMHC
Samantha specializes in providing therapy for children ages 3+, adolescents, adults, and parent-child dyads. She is experienced with attachment issues, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, spirituality, relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, and behavioral difficulties. She is passionate about providing a safe (and fun!) environment for children and teens to move toward growth, connection, and wellness.
Kristin Fisher, M.Ed., LCMHC
Kristin enjoys working with adults who are feeling stuck with issues and/or relationships in their lives. She specializes in life transitions, self-worth, grief, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, and domestic abuse. She works from a strength-based perspective to focus on strengthening our sense of self and learning to view ourselves in a balanced and self-compassionate way.
Bryan Franklin, MACC, LCMHCA
Bryan works with adult individuals and couples. With more than 20 years in the corporate world, he works with executives to improve work-life balance, rebuild career-damaged relationships, navigate life transitions, and temper perfectionism/workaholic tendencies. Bryan is passionate about helping couples rebuild trust after infidelity, improve communication, and love more effectively.
Kristina Franklin, MACC, LCMHC, LMFT
Kristina specializes in working with couples to improve communication skills, resolve conflict and rebuild marriages after an affair. Her unique and extensive experience is in working with law-enforcement officers, rescue workers, military personnel and their families. Kristina works with anxiety and panic disorders as well as grief and loss. She is also comfortable helping people work through cancer.
Marissa Grant, MA, LCMHC
Marissa specializes in working with children (ages 3+), adolescents, and adult women. Because each client’s needs are different, she incorportates various therapy techniques to best fit the client’s needs and goals. She believes in the client’s resiliency and is passionate about providing a safe and genuine environment for them to process how they would like to grow and change.
Lauren Ivey, MA, LCAS, CCTP
Lauren specializes in working with adults who struggle with substance and/or addiction issues as well as family and friends who have been negatively impacted. Along with primary dependence, she treats co-occurring problems like anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, codependency, and internal conflict. She is passionate about helping clients identify their strengths, establish healthy coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and ultimately work toward long-term healing and recovery.
Clarissa Jackson, MS, LCMHC
Clarissa specializes in providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She is experienced with anxiety, depression, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, grief and loss, and self-esteem. She is passionate about providing a safe environment for individuals to express their feelings, problem-solve, reduce distress, and remove obstacles to personal growth.
Donna Kanipe, MACC, LMFT, LCMHC
Donna works with couples and adults (21+). She specializes in counseling premarital couples, conflicted couples, divorce care, women grieving betrayals, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, grief, and adjustment after life-altering accidents/medical conditions. Donna believes clients are resilient so she aims to draw out an individual’s and/or couple’s strengths.
Rhoda Keefer, PGCE, MA, LCMHC
Rhoda enjoys working with children, adolescents and individuals. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-harm, grief, and loss. Rhoda loves to help parents connect better with their children by providing parenting and family therapy. She loves to help children understand and express their feelings in more productive ways through play therapy.
Courtney Krajenka, PsyD
Courtney is a licensed psychologist, who specializes in psychological testing for children (6+) and adults. She has a multitude of experience helping with a variety of challenges including: anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, adjustment issues, trauma, grief, behavioral issues, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, spiritual or faith-based issues, parenting difficulties and post-partum issues.
Kate Leggett, MA, LCMHC
Kate specializes in working with children (4+), adolescents, adults, and parents on an array of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, grief, spirituality, relationship concerns, and behavioral concerns. Her commitment is creating a safe and trusting environment for individuals and families to holistically move towards a place of growth and lasting healing.
Chris McCarthy, PhD, LCMHC
Chris specializes in working with individuals of all ages with anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, and relational issues. Chris sees a lot of children, teens, & families for anxiety and behavioral issues, couples for relational issues, and individuals with anxiety and depression. He’s known as the laughing therapist because he makes his clients laugh while at the same time helping them resolve their issues.
Kevin McGrew, MSW, LCSW
Kevin creates a compassionate space for individuals, couples, and families to grow. He has experience working with complex relationships, intrafamily dynamics, as well as the anger, depression, & lack of trust that result from betrayal. Kevin enjoys working with a variety of male and female clients of all ages to help with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, loss, and trauma, leading to personal growth.
Steven Ponce, MACC, LCMHC, LPC (SC)
Steven specializes in working with children (8+), teens, adults, couples, and families. He is effective in treating anxiety, self-esteem, marital issues, depression, parenting, trauma, adolescent difficulties, and grief. He is known for his wisdom and experience combined with warmth and compassion. He utilizes child-centered play therapy, CBT, emotionally focused, person-centered, and dynamic therapies to meet the needs of his clients.
Mike Prasse, MACC, LCMHC
Mike enjoys working with adults and couples to address various concerns, including ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, anxiety, parenting challenges, spiritual direction, abuse/trauma recovery, and life/career direction. He uses wisdom and humor to create a safe environment for personal improvement or relational healing. He is known for working well with difficult people and helping others relate with difficult people by setting boundaries and communicating truth in loving ways.
Elena Pertgen, LCMHCA, NCC
Elena specializes in working with women of all ages, who struggle with the impact of past or recent trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem/image, and shame as well as developmental and life transitions, grief, and loss. Through a collaborative process with the client, Elena incorporates a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet specific client’s needs in a safe and nurturing environment that facilitates moving towards healing, hope, and restoration.
