Meet Carly

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Carly is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Nationally Certified Counselor who is passionate about helping children and women find healing and hope. She works with teens ages 12 and up, as well as adult women navigating life’s challenges.

Carly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Science and her Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Messiah University. Her counseling experience spans a variety of settings—including schools, private homes, and private practice—and diverse locations such as Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, the Bahamas, and Charlotte.

With children, Carly provides support through play therapy and evidence-based techniques to help them process grief, loss, and trauma, including recovery from sexual abuse and assault. She integrates play therapy in order to honor the idea that children do their deepest therapeutic work in their own language: the language of play. She also partners with parents to create safe and supportive home environments.

With adult women, Carly offers compassionate care for those experiencing depression, anxiety, postpartum concerns, or other emotional struggles.

Carly works from a Cognitive-Behavioral framework, which provides a strong foundation for working with both children and adults. Her counseling style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. Together, she and her clients examine and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, exploring how these patterns shape daily life. She also incorporates a Solution-Focused approach, grounded in the belief that every client has the capacity to create meaningful change. Carly often tells clients that a new journey is always possible—they just have to be willing to reach out and take it.
