Meet Mackenzie

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

OCD, Anxiety, & Couples Therapy

Mackenzie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who specializes in helping teens, women, and couples navigate anxiety, OCD, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Her work is especially focused on clients who feel stuck in cycles of fear, avoidance, overthinking, relationship distress, or uncertainty and want practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change.

Mackenzie has particular experience working with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic attacks, phobias, and anxiety, incorporating Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ERP is considered the first-line, evidence-based behavioral treatment for OCD and is designed to help clients face feared thoughts and situations without relying on compulsions, avoidance, or reassurance-seeking.

For couples, Mackenzie specializes in affair recovery, marriage restoration, premarital counseling, and relationship difficulties. She integrates the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples rebuild trust, communicate more effectively, understand unhealthy patterns, and develop a deeper sense of emotional connection.

Mackenzie also works with clients experiencing depression, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, spiritual questions, and significant life transitions. Her counseling style is compassionate and collaborative while remaining practical and goal-oriented. She believes therapy should provide both a safe place to be understood and the tools to help you move forward.

Rather than simply managing symptoms, Mackenzie helps clients understand the patterns keeping them stuck and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Her goal is to help clients build greater confidence, resilience, connection, and freedom in their everyday lives.

Mackenzie earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, graduating cum laude. She integrates Christian faith and spiritual growth into counseling when desired by the client.

Outside of counseling, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing with her dog, working out, and reading.
