Lauren Ivey, MA, LCAS, CCTP

Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist who graduated from Liberty University with a Master’s degree in Applied and Developmental Psychology.

Lauren’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and integrative, incorporating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients gain insight into the underlying factors influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She firmly believes that every individual has the capacity for growth and change.

Lauren works with individuals navigating addictive behaviors that serve as coping mechanisms for various mental health challenges — including anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, low self-esteem, internal conflict, and stress management.

She is passionate about helping clients identify their strengths, establish healthy coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and ultimately work toward long-term healing and recovery.

Prior to joining Carolinas Counseling, Lauren worked in an agency setting, providing intensive outpatient treatment for individuals with severe opioid addiction.
