Meet Lauren
Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist
Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with a Master’s degree in Applied and Developmental Psychology from Liberty University.
She takes a compassionate, person-centered approach to therapy, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs. Drawing from evidence-based practices—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)—Lauren helps clients uncover the deeper influences behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She believes every individual has the strength and capacity to grow, heal, and create lasting change.
Lauren specializes in working with individuals who use addictive behaviors as coping tools for challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, low self-esteem, internal conflict, and stress. Her goal is to help clients build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and rediscover their sense of self-worth.
Passionate about supporting long-term healing and recovery, Lauren empowers her clients to identify their strengths, increase self-awareness, and move forward with confidence. Prior to joining Carolinas Counseling, she provided intensive outpatient treatment for individuals struggling with severe opioid addiction.
