Christy Braman, MA, LCMHC is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who specializes in working with adults who have experienced abuse in their childhood whether sexual, verbal, physical, emotional, spiritual, or neglect.
Her work also includes grief, loss/bereavement, anxiety, codependency, life transitions, divorce recovery, women’s issues (i.e. menopause, post-partum depression, post-abortion), and internal conflict.
She uses a psychodynamic approach focused on understanding how past experiences and relationships influence current difficulties. She integrates other therapeutic approaches including internal family systems therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and attachment-based therapy.
Christy served in various missions overseas and had the privilege of counseling missionaries in Asia for 3 years.
She received her MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary Florida in 2001 and earned her BS in Psychology from Madonna University, MI. in 1999.
