Megan Cummings, MACC, LCMHCA

Megan Cummings, MACC, LCHMCA, NCC is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Anderson University and a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In her work as a counselor, Megan uses a mixture of Person-Centered and Gestalt therapy. She loves watching others learn and grow so that they can live life with greater joy and peace. She believes counseling provides a safe, non-judgmental place to rest for a bit and examine the unique journey you are on. Megan uses thought-provoking questions and imaginative exercises to help you adjust your trajectory and discover a new way to fly.

When counseling children, Megan uses Child-Centered Play Therapy as well as Exposure-Response Therapy for emetophobia. Her goal is to provide a safe, empowering space where kids can “play out” their experiences and discover the resiliency within them. Megan partners with
caregivers to offer support and guidance.

As the proud granddaughter of Cuban immigrants, Megan is very attuned to how our cultural backgrounds impact values and lifestyle. Her experiences teaching English in South Korea have also made her passionate about providing care to people who have lived or are living outside of home country.

In her free time, Megan enjoys reading novels, starting (but not finishing) craft projects, watching good TV, singing in choir, and traveling overseas.
