About Us

From the beginning, Carolinas Counseling Group has been committed to combining clinical expertise & current psychological research with the timeless wisdom of a Christian worldview.

Our Mission

We desire to provide expert counseling that compassionately cares for the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. It is our value that all our staff combine professional expertise with personal integrity.

We formed our corporation, Carolinas Counseling Group of Charlotte, Inc., in 2002. Prior to that we were part of a non-profit corporation. Even before that, all the way back in the early 1990s, we originated as a part of a ministry of a large local church. Although we now operate within the professional guidelines of a clinical practice, we desire to maintain our original values, such as a focus on people first. As an effort to embody that value, we have support and scheduling coordinators operating our front desk and taking your calls because we believe it is important to talk to a person when seeking help.

All of our therapists are fully licensed in the State of North Carolina and are committed Christians. Although all of us are Christians, we welcome any and all faiths or non-religious perspectives in our clients. We commit that we will do all we can to make you feel welcome and free from any pressure to believe as we do. At the same time, we want to convey our commitment to care for you and your loved ones from the rich and grace-filled framework derived from our faith.

“Love is actively fighting the temptation to be critical and judgmental toward another while looking for ways to encourage and praise.”

— Paul David Tripp
