Kate Leggett, MA, LMCHC, RPT, NCC is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a Registered Play Therapist, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is licensed in both North and South Carolina.

She received her BA in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MA in Community Counseling from Regent University.  

She has experience working in a Honduran orphanage, hospital, community-based, and private practice settings. 

Kate specializes in working with children ages 4+, adolescents, adults, and families on an array of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, spirituality, relationship concerns, behavioral concerns, and parenting skills.

As a Registered Play Therapist Kate has specialized training in meeting and working with the specific needs of children in a way that is more appropriate for the child's younger developmental level. 

Kate additionally works with single-incident and chronic trauma through the use of Eye Movement and Desensitization (EMDR).  

Her passion is reestablishing the sanctity of the family unit through creating a safe and trusting environment for individuals and families to holistically move towards a place of growth and lasting healing.
